Discover Vietnam: An Unforgettable Hiking Journey
Dear hiking friend,
Imagine a journey where each step brings you closer to the heart of Vietnam. A land of contrasts, from bustling cities to serene landscapes, where ancient traditions blend with modern influences. This is the experience that awaits you on our unforgettable hike across Vietnam.
From north to south, this trip offers you the chance to discover the diversity of Vietnam in all its glory. Begin your adventure in historic Hanoi, where the charm of the old quarter and the liveliness of the markets will immediately captivate you. Walk through the narrow streets, enjoy the local cuisine, and let yourself be carried away by the rich history of this capital.
We continue to the breathtaking nature of the mountains of Sapa. Here you will meet the colorful hill tribes and their centuries-old traditions. The terraced rice fields and picturesque villages provide a perfect backdrop for our hikes. Every step brings you closer to the impressive beauty of this area.
Our journey also takes us to the world-famous Halong Bay, where we sail among the limestone islands and enjoy the peace and beauty of this unique location. The mystical atmosphere of the bay, combined with the crystal-clear water, ensures an unforgettable experience.
In central Vietnam, we explore the imperial city of Hué and the picturesque Hoi An. Hué, with its impressive citadel and historical monuments, and Hoi An, known for its atmospheric lanterns and charming streets, let you fully experience the cultural richness of Vietnam. Here, history and modernity are beautifully intertwined.
The trip would not be complete without a visit to the Mekong Delta. Here, in southern Vietnam, we sail through the vast waterways and discover the lively floating markets. The fertile delta is the lifeblood of Vietnam and offers a fascinating insight into the daily lives of the local population.
End your adventure in the dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, where the contrast between the old and the new cannot be greater. Explore the busy streets, visit historical sites, and taste the vibrant atmosphere of this metropolis.
A special addition to this trip are the HHH Hash House Harriers walks. These unique walks combine sport and fun, offering you the chance to explore the beautiful surroundings while participating in a worldwide network of hikers and runners. It’s a perfect way to stay active and make new friends at the same time.
This hiking trip through Vietnam is not just a vacation; it’s a journey full of discoveries, encounters, and unforgettable moments. Walk with us and experience Vietnam in a way that you will carry deep in your heart.

The History of Hash House Harriers The idea of hashing originated around 1938 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as a club for drinkers with a running problem. They called themselves the Hash House Harriers (HHH), named after the building where they gathered weekly to run. You can find endless information about The Hash on the internet. Today, approximately 2000 chapters, spread over all seven continents, keep the original tradition alive. Each Hash chapter has its interpretation of Hash, but generally, the Pack (the runners and walkers) follows a trail set by one or two members (the Hares). By laying false trails, the Hares ensure that fast runners arrive at the finish at about the same time as the crawlers/walkers/joggers. There are no winners, and everyone is rewarded with a snack and a few drinks in the ‘circle’ afterward, where the emphasis is on fun. Alcohol is not mandatory, and you can simply walk/stroll. |
Hash events include cross-country running and walking, and they may involve certain risks such as river crossings, unstable bridges, swamps, as well as encounters with buffaloes, cows, dogs, snakes, wasps, ants, mosquitoes, getting lost, and angry farmers. Participation in our events means you are aware of these risks, will behave responsibly to minimize these risks for yourself and others, and that you participate at your own risk. |
